I recently had a baby girl, my precious little Phoenix. Well anyway, I received lots of help; my in-laws, my best friend, and my sister-in-law, Anne, the six day salad maker. I was VERY spoiled during their stay. Breakfast in bed every morning. Lunch made fresh daily and the best dinners ever. I love salads and my sister-in-law makes a pretty good salad, so she decided to make a salad the next night after she arrives. I am thinking great a fresh salad for dinner tonight. Dinner is served and no salad. So I asked where is the salad and she says she is not done yet. I am secretly wondering how long does it take to make a salad. Well it takes my sister-in-law six days. I am not kidding. It took her five days just to clean the Romaine lettuce. She cleaned it leaf by leaf, centimeter by centimeter. She had pieces of lettuce all over the kitchen then she let it drip dry for three days. Then she chopped up the rest of the veggies. In all it took six days, but at least the salad was worth the wait. I know for next time to clean the salad lettuce myself in advance.
